Large Market Account Executive

JOB SUMMARY


Account Executive performs contract management, client retention and growth of the current business.


 

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
 

  • Provide on-going, effective communications and service to the current clients via conference calls, day-to-day interaction, and potential on-site meetings.
  • Provide on-going direction for all Delta Dental staff on administration of the client’s program, and to ensure Delta Dental meets the terms of the RFR and contract.
  • Identify client expectations, communicate expectations to Delta Dental staff, and ensure expectations are delivered effectively.
  • Implement Client Services Planning Process with clients to establish goals and set expectations of the program.
  • Proactively resolve issues and strengthen relationships at various professional levels within the client’s organization.
  • Increase access for members by developing plans to help strengthen and expand the provider network and to participate in the planning of outreach activities to members.
  • Draft and negotiate Amendments to Dental Service Agreements as necessary.
  • Monitor changes in regulations and fee schedules, and ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines.
  • Ensure that Delta Dental is funded appropriately with regulation and fee schedule changes, and ensure Delta Dental is receiving rate increases, as defined in the contract.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting to clients.
  • Assist in updating Office Reference Manuals, organizing client audits, and the implementation of corrective action plans as necessary.
  • Seek additional sales opportunities with current clients.
  • Obtain letters of recommendation from clients, providers and other organizations.
  • Update Manager regularly on major issues, both internal and external.
  • Perform projects as assigned by Manager.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Adhere to Delta Dental business practices.

Preferred

  • College Degree or related business experience preferred.
  • Sales and negotiation skills a plus.
  • Travel required

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
 

  • Incumbent must be able to communicate effectively.
  • Requires overall light physical effort (up to 25lbs.)
  • Manual dexterity and sitting is required in carrying out position own position responsibilities (i.e. use of personal computer).
  • Ability to travel or move about within and outside serviced facilities required.
  • Incumbent works primarily in either a private or shared office environment.
