Manager of Data Analytics & Insights

JOB DESCRIPTION


The Manager, Data Analytics and Insights will build and develop a Center of Excellence that enables data-driven insights that support strategic business goals while creating incremental value for our customers. The Manager will build and lead a high performing team of analysts and will act as the translator between the business leaders and the team. The Manager will leverage their industry and business expertise, technical fluency, and project management skills to create insights, business narratives and recommendations from raw data and complex analytics.


PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

 
  • Responsible for using data and analyses to provide insights that will drive overall business performance, influence decisions, and create value for internal and external customers 
  • Transform complex analyses into understandable business narratives and actionable insights by leveraging data visualization and communication skills
  • Optimize existing reports and proactively identify new reporting/analysis opportunities that create business value.
  • Responsible for leading large-scale initiatives like; client cost/clinical analysis, claim cost management, and provider fee reimbursement strategies
  • Partner and collaborate with business leaders to identify business challenges and make recommendations on priorities and actions that will deliver the highest impact and align with strategic corporate goals.
  • Act as a liaison between the business users and the analytics team to ensure raw data is translated effectively to drive data-backed business decisions • Partner with Business Intelligence to ensure appropriate data infrastructure, data integrity and operationalization of analytics-sourced self-service reporting or other tools
  • Responsible for developing a deep understanding of all aspects of the industry to effectively translate business needs and drive team activities.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS


Required:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Seven (7) years of industry experience in Business Operations, Healthcare Administration, Financial Management, Data/Reporting/Analytics, Marketing/Sales, or combination thereof required.
  • Three (3) years experience of leading a team
  • Knowledgeable in databases and business intelligence tools such as R, Python, Power BI, SAS, SQL, Visual Studio, Azure Analysis Services, Tableau and Cognos.
  • Proven project management skills
  • Strong acumen in quantitative analytics and structured problem solving
  • Working knowledge and business application of quantitative models
  • Demonstrated ability to translate data / analyses into visualizations such as graphs, charts etc. which business stakeholders can understand.
  • Strong business and problem-solving acumen
  • Healthcare/dental insurance knowledge preferred 
  • Entrepreneurial mindset
  • Highly effective communication skills
  • Attend additional training as requested/deemed necessary
