Massachusetts Dentists Seek Financial Support during Coronavirus Pandemic as Patients Stay Home

Before the coronavirus outbreak, Dr. Paul Gamache’s office used to see more than two dozen patients a day. He has seen a fraction of that over the past two months.
 

“I’ve had maybe five or six emergencies," said Gamache, a Pittsfield dentist who has practiced for 26 years. “That’s kind of good. People don’t want to come in. They’re practicing the social distancing, but as far as viability for a business, that’s not going to last very long.”
