Boston, MA, [March 5, 2021] – On National Dentist’s Day, Delta Dental of Massachusetts (DDMA), the largest provider of dental benefits in the state, is recognizing dentists’ critical role in healthcare and the COVID-19 recovery efforts. Celebrated on March 6th, National Dentist’s Day is a day of appreciation for dentists and the dental teams that care for our oral health every day.

“On National Dentist Day, it’s important to take a moment to extend our appreciation and thanks to all of the dentists and dental teams here in Massachusetts who in many ways have been unsung heroes of this pandemic, working hard over the last year to maintain access to oral health care under incredibly challenging circumstances. Oral health care is essential health care and is critical to keeping our families and communities healthy. We are lucky to have some of the best dentists in the country right here in Massachusetts and on behalf of everyone at Delta Dental of Massachusetts, we thank each of you for all you do.”
Dentists responded quickly and effectively to ensure that patient safety during the pandemic was prioritized. Thanks to the collective efforts of the dental community, patients have returned to the dentist and are receiving necessary oral health care once again.
